Transactions: every payment with its document and entry

Transactions in Centa AI is the single list of all the company’s money movements from statements, bank connections, the cash register and receipts. For each transaction you see where it came from, which document proves it, how it was posted and its tax treatment.

What a transaction shows

  • Details: date, amount, counterparty with STIR, purpose, category, confidence and tax treatment (VAT rate and amount, net amount).
  • Documents: the linked invoice, act, VAT invoice or receipt; for a corporate card, the receipt’s fiscal details.
  • Journal: debit and credit lines on the chart of accounts.

How Centa avoids duplicates

The same transaction can arrive twice — from a statement and from a bank API. Centa compares the bank’s id, the bank reference with date and amount, then a fingerprint (date, amount, direction, counterparty). A duplicate does not create a second transaction; it enriches the existing one.

Bank status

A transaction proven only by a receipt counts as an expense but not as a bank movement until the statement confirms it. Transactions the bank reverses are undone with reversing entries — the history stays.
